✳ From useful idea to native experience.

App development

A good app earns its place on someone’s phone. We help turn an idea into a focused product: what it does, who it serves and why it needs to be an app. Our native development experience centres on Swift and SwiftUI for iPhone. Josh brings the product and interface design; James connects the screens, device features and data into a working experience.

Built around your business

What we can help with

  • Product scope and core user journeys
  • Interface design and interactive prototypes
  • Native Swift and SwiftUI development for iPhone
  • Device capabilities and integration planning
  • Loading, empty, error and first-run states
  • Testing, release preparation and a plan for updates
Let's talk about your project

A clear route from here to there

Good work.
Without the guesswork.

01

Find the useful core.

We separate the essential product from the wish list and decide whether native iPhone development fits the idea. The first scope should make one clear promise.

02

Design every state.

We work through the main journey and the moments around it: first use, permissions, an empty screen, interrupted work and getting back in.

03

Build and put it through its paces.

James implements the native experience, connects its data and device features, and tests the agreed journeys. Distribution and ongoing maintenance are planned for the particular product.

Out in the world

Work that works.

A little more detail

Good questions.

The decisions before the build matter. Here are a few things that are useful to know.

01What kind of mobile apps do you develop?

Our demonstrated native app experience is iPhone development using Swift and SwiftUI. CalcVault, James’s self-initiated project, brings together calculator functionality, PIN and biometric access, media, files and notes. We discuss the requirements of each new app before recommending an approach.

02Do I need a native app or a web app?

A native app can make sense when device features, platform-specific interactions or regular mobile use are central. A web app is often a better starting point when people need access through a browser across different devices. We can help you weigh the trade-offs before committing to a build.

03Can you help define an early-stage app idea?

Yes. We can start with the audience, problem and smallest useful set of features, then use a prototype to make the idea concrete. This gives us a clearer basis for development scope and cost.

04Do you also offer Android development?

Our current native development focus is iPhone. If Android is essential to the brief, we will discuss it at the outset and establish a suitable delivery approach before agreeing the scope.

05Can you help prepare an iPhone app for release?

Release preparation can be part of the project scope. We agree the testing, distribution route, account responsibilities and supporting materials for the particular app, alongside a plan for future updates.

The bigger picture

It all connects.
